WHAT TO EXPECT FROM

SPEECH OLYMPICS

Speech Olympics is an innovative program designed to inspire participants to excel in communication skills while embracing the spirit of the Olympic Games. This unique camp combines engaging speech activities with the excitement of Olympic-themed events, fostering a fun and competitive environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and self-expression. Participants will participate in various speech-related challenges all set against the backdrop of Olympic sports and values like respect, excellence, and friendship.

Throughout the camp, participants will be encouraged to push their limits and strive for excellence, just like Olympic athletes. Team-building exercises and friendly competitions will help build confidence and camaraderie among campers, while the Olympic theme adds an element of excitement and motivation. By the end of the camp, participants will not only have improved their speech skills but also developed essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

As with all our camps, parent participation is not required at Speech Olympics but it is strongly encouraged. Parents, your presence and engagement in each session will help you and your student gain mutual knowledge and understanding. Taking the time to be at camp will better equip you to see the big picture of how debate fits into your student’s education and the important role you play. There is no fee for parent participation.

"Thank you for offering speech camp for students and parents. This was truly amazing. My student has grown so much in 3 days. This is so much more than I could have ever hoped for. It is not an exaggeration to say this has been life changing for our whole family."

"I went into the camp thinking that it was just going to be a boring lecture that I had to sit through. However, I found that it was quite entertaining at times and I was able to learn in a friendly environment, practicing speech skills to prepare myself for speech and debate club. "
